Life on Mars: Part 8 - The Ribbon

Last ride of the week for us. The Ribbon, thankfully a shuttle ride up to the top provided by Kevin's friend, Sarah. After the Ribbon was complete, we would come out in the 'Lunch Loops' area behind Kevin's house and take another crack at Holy Cross, one of my favorite trails from the trip.

The top of the Ribbon is a mesa, way up hi. Yay! More heights.
The entire Ribbon was like riding down a tilted parking lot. Not too much skill required, but damn fast!.
There were a few technical rocky sections before the bottom. Here's Craig...
Dave(Kevin's Riding buddy)........
And the Man himself.
At the bottom we found ourselves in Canyon that needed peddling out of.

For my money, the Ribbon is a fire it and forget it trail. Fast but no so fun and not always worth arranging a shuttle to do. It's the kind of trail you can ride once in a long while.

After we finished on Holy Cross, the crew decided to be tourists again and went to visit the Colorado National Monument. Here are some photos of that.

Driving around up high around more cliff faces. Not my thing. It was good to be down, and back at Kevin's for our last night of beers and blogging before we started the trip home.
