Life on Mars: Part 2

It's been 4 days and 3 rides since we arrived in Moab, Utah. We arrived in Grand Junction last night and stayed at Kevin's home for wayward mountain bikers. Actually it's just Kevin's home. I still haven't met him as he's out of town. I hope he doesn't mind me using his laptop.

There are 5 riders, 4 camera's and about 400 pics to go through and post up. And that's just the first half the trip. The best I can manage right now is to clean up the first post I made. It's Wednesday now. I know there is riding but I think today is rest day for me. Time to get caught up.

On Sunday we had our 'Acclimatization Ride' in Moab. Time to get our bodies used about 3500ft of elevation and desert heat.

Craig took us out to Sovereign trail near the town.

The ride had an unfriendly start. Steve thought he would say hi to some dogs tied up the their owners cars. One of the little shits took a munch on his knee.

Surprised and angry, we just carried on. It would take more than that to get Steve down.

Anyways, some pics from the days ride. About as many as I could fit into one entry. I'm going to have find new ways to divide up this story.

An internet cafe wouldn't go amiss either.

Anyways, in no particular order, here are the shots from our day. Important to note is that we are photo sharing here. Not all the images you see from this trip were taken buy me. The images are no particular order. All I remember from day 1 are bikes and desert.

The ride ended. We headed back to the Condo for a steak dinner prepared by me and Ina. A few beers later, I would disappear into my room not to be seen again until the next day. The high altitude air had gotten the better of me.
