Life on Mars: Part 3 - Amasa Back

Monday. Today was to be our last full day in the Condo. We woke up. Steve made us all omelets, I made the bacon. We would need our Energy for for the Attack on Amasa Back.

The ride was pretty straight forward. Park the car. Ride down into a creek bed. Start the trip up. We shared the trails with hikers, dogs and other riders. Hit the top, look over the edge and ride back down Jackson trail.
It's the views that are stealing the show out here. Ride pics are nice, but you can't beat the views out here.

Another well staged group shot of the Road Trip crew.

Careful around the edges tho, it's a long way down. I'm finding myself struggling with the heights here. Some of the trails go right up to an edge with a long view straight down.

This is Steve coming down the back side of Amasa, the trail called Jackson.

Landing ourselves out at this rather funny little creek. The team got a chain gang going so we could work our way back to a trail and out to the parking lot.
The ride ended. We ate that night at the Moab brewery. Nice little dinner and a few pints. Then back to the condo for our last evening in Moab. Once again I disappeared into my room for some time in the dark. Tired, a mild dehydration headache and a sore tushy made it hard to move around. I think the others were wondering where I had gone, but there was just nothing left. I plugged into my I-pod, popped an Advil and fell into a coma for the night.
