Family Business

Shortly after arriving in Genoa, Nic's younger cousin, Gabriele and his female friend Nicoletta (Nicoletta2 for the purposes of this post) picked us up and drove us around town to see the sites.

Pretty cool to get your picture taken in front of Christopher Columbus's house.

Coastal view in the night and day. 2 locations very far apart. The Genoa coastline is roughly 50k of blue waters and ports.
Nic's other cousin moved mountains to roll out the red carpet for us. Uncle Carlo traded a shift at work to be available for a big family lunch on Saturday, as well as waiting a week longer to celebrate his own birthday. Older brother Salvatore made it out also. Both of these gents are characters.
Cousin Elena and her 2 sons, Lorenzo and Thomas. Elena took us out again later that night.

Gabriele got this one for us.

Carlo and Salvatore and flanked by their wives, Betty and Domenica respectively.
Out in the parking lot before the rest of us dispersed.

As you can imagine, a lot more happened on this day than just a couple of gatherings, however some stories are family business. Some are just better told by my wife.
