If there is a God...

I must admit, when the Hawks got a power play in the first minute of OT, I thought the end was nigh. But good things happen and I feel like a big weight has been lifted off me and probably the whole city.

I am sure of one thing though. God has other places to be and is likely tired of all the people like me who only show up when the playoffs are on. This city has used up it's prayers. If there is a God, the Canucks are on their own for round 2.

GO CANUCKS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just watched a much reborn Vancouver team come within one unlucky goal to eliminating the 'Hawks.

You looked good, in control in disciplined. The Hawks have been lucky to make it this far against you guys.

My only advice for Game 7 is this. "Fear is the Mind Killer."

Wipe them out. Bring the down. Destroy them all!.

With all my Heart, Go Canucks GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Baptism in Rain. 1st lap of the Red Rider

What a lazy bike. Sitting around on the couch all day drinking my beer. Time to get her out and getter out and getter dirty.

It was a classic rainy day in the lower mainland. But Nicoletta was still in the mood to pack up her new baby and take it for a lap on Gear Jammer.

Just a few images from the day and Nic's inaugural ride on her new bike.
The proof is in the pudding as they say.
I've said this before, but I love riding up in the clouds.
Nic Shows her mojo.

We skipped the Mels part of the lap heading instead to the top of GJ. The top part last for about a minute.

Nic said she wasnt going to do this A-frame. This is run 2 of 3. What a liar.

There's my happy girl at the end of the ride.

She had a good day. No back pain, the tires stuck to the ground(Mostly).Good brakes, good Geo and good squish. The G-spot is the perfect bike for so many different kinds of riding. A bit burlier than you need going up this hill, but hella fun coming down.
Can't wait for Neds. She's going to love that trail on her new rig.

Why Ian doesn't like me

Below is a picture of Brian Boucher getting the yank after letting in 4 goals against our Canucks just after Xmas.
I kept trying to Hi five some one at the game but Ian was just having none of it. sigh. Its not a big deal. He doesn't like Boucher either.

What makes Ian mad are days like these. It's Friday. The weather is supposed to be crappy all week. He's working. And Aaron and I find a window to ride in.

Yes, that blue sky in the back ground.

"Hello Mr. Sunshine," I said.

"Hello Ted" he replied. "Nice to see you out riding your bike."
"It's nice to be out. Thanks for dropping in, Mr. Sunshine."

Afterwards...... on my iphone.

to Ian: Aaron says Hi. We just banged off Espresso. Man was it slippery.

From Ian: assholes, the both of you.

Nic got me a PS3 for my Bday. Smart Girl that one.

Remember when you were young.....

Babies have a way of being perfect. They don't stay that way long. That's why we get baby pictures.
I brought her home today. I thought I could hear my STD let out a low growl.
Bikes don't get jealous tho, do they?
Its been almost 5 full months since my Hustler cracked. Life if full of hard losses, but you get over them with time and damn sexy shiny new bike.
I suspect she'll need a visit with doctor James right off the bat to get her suspension shots, and maybe a longer stem for the growth issue.

I can't wait to get her outside.

Trail Report, December 10, 2010

The sun started peeking out this morning as I was headed to grab my Tim's . I had lots to do today, Xmas is near and I haven't done any prep. But, sunnyish days in December are few, so I decided to trek up Fromme and check out the snow line.

Lots of run off is a good sign. Hopefully the hill just keeps draining.

I always loved riding in the winter surrounded by fog.
The snow was sparse all the way through until the 5th switchback.

This is where the snowline starts in. Patchy tho, after the 5th.
This is the area in front of Ladies and Pipeline
I felt like I could slog a long a bit more, even maybe try for 7th secret. But when I saw the entrance to Leopard, I knew I had seen this movie before. I could push up if I wanted to but I wouldn't enjoy the ride down.
I checked out Expresso just to see. Not bad really. But not for me. I lowered myself back to pipeline and started the ride down.
Some snow in the first 20 or so meters, then back to it's familiar rocky self.
Hard to say which way the snow line is going to move from here. But if you are jonesing for a pedal, then Ladies and Pipeline are both accessible with short push through the snow. Expresso looked doable at the top too. Maybe if I can drum up a friend on Sunday we can push up to 7th and start laying tracks in the ice.

Boo'ed out of Halloween

First ever Halloween ride for me. Good showing. Nice to see the power ranger and his potato.

Alan, making his bid for 2012 in London.
Nic and I didn't impress anyone with our Pirate costumes. What's wrong with an eye patch? Its my first Halloween ride, lighten up! LOL

I guess Dale wins the Costume competition.

Nice ride, nice day. Started raining at the very end. Hopefully it will clear up again for next weekend. Looking forward to seeing Noah and Aaron out for one of these!
